Erik ten Hag has delivered a clear pre-match message in tonight’s programme ahead of Manchester United’s Champions League clash vs Copenhagen.
The Red Devils are hoping to see out their first win in Europe this season, having sustained two straight defeats in their opening games.
They’re now on back-to-back wins in the Premier League though, so must build on that momentum by picking up the form in all competitions. Ten Hag has made just two changes from his starting 11 on Saturday; Raphael Varane and Sergio Reguilon have replaced Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof.
United will also be paying tribute to one of the greatest, most pivotal and influential icons in their illustrious history, Sir Bobby Charlton. It’s the first time the Reds have played at Old Trafford since his passing and everyone in football will ensure his outstanding legacy lives on forever.
Ten Hag’s pre-match message
To rally his squad before the crucial fixture, Ten Hag penned a message in the programme, saying (via Simon Stone): “Whoever we face, wherever we play, Man United go into each game expecting to win because of [the] club’s history, which was built by great people before us. Tonight presents us with a big European night at Old Trafford where victory is our only option.”
