Manchester United have secured three huge points in the Champions League after a highly eventful second half at Old Trafford, with Harry Maguire’s header sealing the win.
After two straight defeats in the group, United needed to win and they have done just that but it looked like it could have been yet another nightmare at the Theatre of Dreams.
With just seconds remaining on the clock, Copenhagen were awarded a penalty after Scott McTominay was adjudged to have fouled an opposition player after a corner.
United players were enraged at the decision but Andre Onana, who was United’s best player on the night, came up with the goods to deny Jordan Larsson from the spot.
It was a dramatic end to the night but Ten Hag will be relieved to get his first points on the board and mount a challenge to the rest of the group for the remaining half of the group stages.
Man United Player Ratings

The night that Onana arrived at Old Trafford. A string of great stops to keep United’s clean sheet and then a magical penalty save at the very death.
Diogo Dalot – 6
A typical Dalot performance.
Raphael Varane – 6
Back in the starting lineup after struggling with an injury. Good to have him back.

The first of three injured left-backs to return from injury and he will be needed.

Still getting acclimatised to new surroundings.
Scott McTominay – 6
No one looked happier to see Onana save that penalty than McTominay.
Bruno Fernandes – 7
Came dangerously close to a second yellow card for dissent but was good throughout.
Antony – 5
Not much end product.
Marcus Rashford – 5
Not his best performance.
Rasmus Hojlund – 7
The type of striker United have been crying out for even if he didn’t score today.
Bruno – 7, couldn’t find him on the pitch in 1st half. His only contribution is moaning with the referees.
