Manchester United star makes Euro 2024 qualifying Team of the Round after sensational creative display

Bruno Fernandes has been rightfully recognised for his scintillating creative displays for Portugal in their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.

Portugal saw out a 3-2 victory against Slovakia on Friday evening, with the Manchester United captain providing two assists to help his nation book their place in next year’s tournament.

Fernandes showed some sensational footwork to brush off his man before floating in a cross to Goncalo Ramos, who headed home to open the scoring.

Fernandes assists former Red

In the second half, the midfield maestro played in Cristiano Ronaldo with an inch-perfect low cross, which was tapped in by the former Red to make it 3-1 in Portugal’s favour.

Despite a late, 80th-minute goal from Stanislav Lobotka, the Portuguese squad were able to see out the win and therefore, secure their qualification.

Hopefully, Fernandes will be able to recreate his top form when he returns to club action next Saturday, when the Reds travel to Bramall Lane to take on 20th-placed Sheffield United.
