Danny Simpson back at Manchester United to study for coaching badges

Former Manchester United academy graduate Danny Simpson is studying for his coaching badges.

The Eccles-born retired footballer is believed to be back at the club’s training headquarters at Carrington to observe academy training and matches, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

Simpson also works as a pundit for MUTV and is still a familiar face around the club.

The former defender made his United debut in October 2007 and left Old Trafford three years later for Newcastle after making eight senior appearances.

Simpson had a spell at Queens Park Rangers before moving to Leicester City, where he won the Premier League in 2015/16. That was without question the highlight of his career and we’re thrilled to hear that United are helping him achieve his coaching badges.

We would like to wish Simpson the best of luck wherever his post-playing career takes him.

Meanwhile, former academy graduate Danny Webber recently became a football agent. He also does work for MUTV from time to time.
