(Video) Brandon Williams scores 87th-minute equaliser for Ipswich Town

Manchester United defender Brandon Williams completed a season-long loan move to Ipswich Town earlier this summer as he reunited with former Reds coach Kieran McKenna at the Championship club.

Ipswich are thriving in the second tier and are hopeful of earning promotion into the Premier League, with Williams being one of several former United players hoping to take them up to the fine dining table.

Ipswich have won seven of their nine games so far, losing one and drawing the remaining game. McKenna’s men sit second in the table, behind Leicester on goal difference.

It looked like they were about to sustain their second defeat of the season earlier this weekend at Huddersfield but Williams, who was introduced as a second-half substitute, came to the rescue with an 87th-minute equaliser, as seen below.

Williams lurked at the back post perfectly as his side were desperately chasing an equaliser to keep up with Leicester at the summit of the Championship.

The 23-year-old nodded in to score his first of the season and just his second senior goal, having previously netted once for United in 2019.
