Manchester United welcome three returnees to matchday squad for Carabao Cup tie

Manchester United are undergoing their final preparations ahead of tonight’s clash with Crystal Palace, in which they begin their Carabao Cup defence.

The Red Devils lifted the trophy at Wembley back in February to mark the long-awaited end of their six-year silverware drought, as well as the first of Erik ten Hag’s tenure.

Tonight, they begin their quest to do the same and the manager is again being forced to navigate an injury-plagued squad, with Sergio Reguilon seemingly absent from the Reds spotted arriving at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag has, however, been granted two fitness boosts in the form of Harry Maguire and Mason Mount returning to the fold, as per Manchester Evening News. Their involvement remains to be seen, whether it be as starters or substitutes, so we’re awaiting the official line-up release in an hour.

Van de Beek arrives at Old Trafford

Donny van de Beek is also a surprise addition this evening; he was pictured at the stadium greeting supporters and could be set to make his first appearance of the 2023/2024 campaign.

Kick-off is at 8pm.
