Casemiro has made the Brazil squad ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifiers next month.
The 31-year-old hasn’t had the best of starts to the new season, with a number of underwhelming performances, but he keeps his place in the squad as one of Brazil’s key players.
Casemiro has made 73 caps for his country and will look to build on those when they take on Venezuela and Uruguay.
United fans will be hoping the Brazilian shows better form over the coming weeks and it should help that Sofyan Amrabat is ready to come in and partner him in midfield.
Casemiro needs a player who can cover a lot of ground alongside him rather than Christian Eriksen. It doesn’t help that Mason Mount has missed a lot of football through injury, too.

It comes as no surprise that Antony doesn’t make the Brazil squad. He is still on leave from Manchester United while he tackles domestic abuse allegations.
