Rasmus Hojlund will have to wait another while for his first Manchester United goal after VAR ruled out his first half strike against Brighton.

The 20-year-old Danish striker, who signed from Atalanta this summer, scored after Marcus Rashford’s pullback but VAR later intervened and found that the ball had gone out of play.

After the VAR review, I don’t think we can have too many complaints as the ball had gone out go play before Rashford played his cross into the box.

United were left frustrated because Hojlund thought his first goal for the club was an all important equaliser to put the Reds back into the game.

A big performance is needed in the second half.
