United dealt Lisandro Martinez boost but new signing not pictured in training sparks concern among fans

Manchester United are overseeing their final preparations before tomorrow’s return to Premier League action following the international break.

The Red Devils welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to Old Trafford in one of Saturday’s 3pm kick-offs.

There were concerns over Lisandro Martinez’s fitness, as he was withdrawn early with an apparent injury during the last outing against Arsenal. He then left for international duty with Argentina but did not feature in either of the world champions’ games.

The defender has, however, trained with his teammates this week.

Amrabat’s potential injury

Deadline-day signing Sofyan Amrabat was also expected to feature for Morocco in their friendly vs. Burkina Faso but was sent home by manager Walid Regragui for what he later confirmed as precautionary reasons, as the midfielder had struggled with a recent knock.

Amrabat, 27, was not spotted in any of the club’s training footage released this morning, leading fans to believe that he will be ruled out of tomorrow’s game.

Erik ten Hag is likely to confirm his squad’s availability during his press conference later today.
