Shea Lacey is a youngster with lots of promise emerging from Manchester United’s academy. Today, he scored a brilliant goal for England against Spain U17s.

You can tell that over time, Lacey is getting better and better, and when you see that in a talented youngster you begin to get excited.

But he still has plenty of time to develop before fans start putting pressure on him.

Lacey takes the ball inside the box before beating the goalkeeper and a defender with his right footed shot.

He doubled England’s lead with a similar strike later in the match, after cutting in from the right flank and finishing yet again in a clinical fashion.

All we’re saying is the United youngster is one to watch over these next 18 months in terms of academy development.

Lacey until turned 16 in April so maybe you can see why we are excited.

England U14s drew their last game 1-1 against Morocco before losing 3-2 against Portugal.
