Manchester United host Crystal Palace in Carabao Cup third round

Manchester United’s defence of the Carabao Cup starts with a home tie against Crystal Palace.

The all-Premier League tie was made after tonight’s second round clashes, with last season’s beaten finalists Newcastle drawn against Man City.

As holders of the Carabao Cup, United face Crystal Palace as Erik ten Hag looks for consecutive wins in the competition. Last season’s triumph ended a six-year drought without a trophy for United.

Elsewhere, Arsenal take on Brentford and Chelsea face Brighton. Liverpool were drawn against Championship leaders Leicester City and Salford City will host Burnley.
