(Video) ‘It happens’: Lindelof won’t let Spurs defeat derail United’s spirit this early in the season

Victor Lindelof is keen to brush off the Tottenham Hotspur defeat and go again this Saturday with an improved performance.

Manchester United sustained a 2-0 loss to Spurs last Saturday, with their first loss of the campaign coming in their first away trip.

The team certainly felt hard done by with the officiating, as the players were adamant that United should’ve had a penalty after Cristian Romero’s handball, however, the performance wasn’t up to scratch enough to warrant all three points either.

At times like this though, it’s crucial to remember that it’s the beginning of the season and it’ll take time for the squad to gel and get on track.

That’s seemingly the mindset that the Reds have adopted too, as Lindelof told Football Daily: “Of course, we wanted to win that game but it’s football – sometimes you play good and at times you don’t really reach that level that you want [on] that day. But like I said, it’s the second game of the season… it happens.”
