Mason Mount’s injury means Scott McTominay comes back into the contention for game time, despite transfer interest in the Scotland international.

There has been a lot said about Mason Mount since his summer transfer from Chelsea to United.

The England international hasn’t hit the ground running, but I find people are too quick to pass judgements on new signings.

That said, now he’s injured for at least four weeks, I don’t think his start to life at Old Trafford could’ve gone any worse.

According to The Telegraph, Mount has been ruled out for the next four to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Mount was substituted towards the end of United’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham last Saturday. It is now understood that he will be missing until after the international break.

This means Mount could miss United’s first group match in the Champions League.

It’s a shame but hopefully Mount can return in a few weeks and reach top form.
