Jean-Clair Todibo nearing Manchester United move

Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo is reportedly close to joining Manchester United.

Manchester United were linked with a number of centre-backs before Harry Maguire’s move to West Ham collapsed.

It remains to be seen if Erik ten Hag will get the chance to add to his defence in the transfer market, but some reports suggest there could be something on the horizon.

There is still uncertainty surrounding Maguire’s future because it doesn’t look like he will get sufficient game time under Ten Hag this season.

According to the L’Equipe, Jean-Clair Todibo’s €40 million move to United is ‘in sight’.

United were linked with a move for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard, who appears set to join Serie A side Inter Milan, as per The Metro.

Todibo, 23, previously had spells at Barcelona, Schalke and Benfica. He has kicked on in France and is now attracting interest from United.

The defender is under contract at Nice until 2027 and we all know the opportunity to join United would be too good to turn down for the player.
