Mason Greenwood attracting interest from Italy and Turkey

Manchester United announced their decision on Mason Greenwood on Monday and it is believed the club has already been contacted by teams keen on signing the striker.

Following a six-month internal investigation, United’s hierarchy came to the conclusion that the 21-year-old had not committed a string of serious offences he had been charged with but decided that it would be best if he relaunched his career elsewhere.

In response to that, the Daily Mail claims a number of clubs have been in touch to register their interest in Greenwood, who will never play for United again.

A move to another English club is deemed unlikely at this point, with a switch to Italy or Turkey tipped by the newspaper.

It is believed former United manager Jose Mourinho is an admirer and would like to sign him for AS Roma.

While the investigation dragged out and took too long, United will hope they can solve Greenwood’s future soon so that it doesn’t distract our players who play every week.

Meanwhile, 90min claims there are other clubs showing an interest in Greenwood. Not just Roma.

The others include Atalanta, who sold Rasmus Hojlund to United earlier this summer, as well as Inter Milan and Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco.
