Manchester United are not done in this summer’s transfer market as Erik ten Hag continues his bid to strengthen the side.
United have experienced a mixed start to the campaign, with the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur earlier this weekend putting a damper on what could have been a good start.
Ten Hag has landed all of his main targets so far, adding firepower in the final and middle third, with Andre Onana replacing David de Gea between the goalposts.
There is not a lot of cover behind Onana, however. Dean Henderson has been seeking a permanent move away from the club for a while but a transfer has not materialised.
Nottingham Forest were said to be interested in re-signing him but negotiations dragged on and Steve Cooper’s men signed former Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner instead.
Now, journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on United’s remaining business, naming the backup goalkeeper spot as the position the Old Trafford club are still working on reinforcing.

As per the report, United are considering two or three players to replace Henderson if he leaves the club, which has been the expectation all summer.
Crystal Palace are said to be interested in signing Henderson, with a return to Forest now looking increasingly unlikely following Turner’s move to the City Ground.
Henderson was on the bench for the defeat to Tottenham but he is unlikely to be granted a departure if United do not secure a replacement.
