West Ham submit improved £30m bid for Harry Maguire and eye Scott McTominay in double-swoop

West Ham United have submitted a £30 million bid for Harry Maguire and are currently awaiting Manchester United’s response, as per Jacob Steinberg.

The Irons saw their opening £20m offer swiftly rebutted by the Red Devils in July and have now increased their proposal in hopes of reaching an agreement for the centre-back.

As well as Maguire, David Moyes is eyeing a double-swoop that includes fellow Scotsman Scott McTominay and believes that a package of around £55m-60m could sway United into sanctioning the duo’s exits.

West Ham are yet to make any summer signings, leaving supporters with growing concerns heading into the forthcoming season after one in which they narrowly escaped relegation in the closing stages of the campaign.

Club captain Declan Rice also completed a £105m switch to Arsenal last month but that money is yet to be redistributed back into the squad, and his replacement is nowhere to be seen.
