Manchester United are still considering which midfielder to add to their ranks after Mason Mount’s early summer arrival.
The England international ended his 18-year association with Chelsea to make the switch from blue to red in July, and now Erik ten Hag is scouring the market for one more player he can add to bolster his options in the middle of the park.
Sofyan Amrabat has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford and currently looks the most likely to complete a transfer, but there are still alternatives on the manager’s shortlist in case a deal fails to materialise – one being Leon Goretzka.
Goretzka still an option for United
According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany, the Red Devils are mulling over their pursuit of the German international, who looks set to leave Bayern Munich in the coming weeks.

He is not guaranteed a starting role under Thomas Tuchel and the Bundesliga giants could use all the funds they can get while they continue their negotiations for Harry Kane.
