Manchester United are searching for a third win from as many games in their pre-season campaign as the Reds take on Arsenal in the first game of their pre-season tour of the United States.
Erik ten Hag’s men had previously beaten Leeds United and Olympique Lyon but the Dutchman has now welcomed several of his first-team regulars back to the fold.
Ten Hag named a strong side against Mikel Arteta’s men, with Bruno Fernandes among the players to be making their first appearance of the summer.
The Portuguese international, who was recently promoted to captain following the decision to remove Harry Maguire from the role, has now marked his return to the side by giving United the lead, as seen below.

Promising midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has started all three games and he was involved in this move, laying the ball off before Fernandes’ left-footed shot squeezed through the palms of Aaron Ramsdale.
The England international will be disappointed to have been beaten from that distance but there are no complaints from United, who will now look to build on the opening goal.
