Blow for Manchester United as Harry Kane seeks Bayern Munich transfer

Harry Kane is refusing to sign a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with the Tottenham captain, but it looks like the Reds are looking elsewhere because they don’t believe Daniel Levy will sell to a Premier League club.

Erik ten Hag has reportedly turned his attention to Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund. Only time will tell if United can reach an agreement with the Italian club.

However, with Kane refusing to sign a new deal, it looks like Bayern Munich is the most likely destination.

According to The Times, Kane wants to join Bayern and is adamant about not signing a new deal at Spurs.

The report claims United could reignite interest if Kane leaves Tottenham on a free next summer. Also, it is strongly suggested that the centre-forward will not push to leave his current club after failing in his attempt to join Man City in 2021.

This still raises a big question about Kane and the all-time Premier League goalscorer record. Does he want that status or not – because he won’t be achieving it in Germany!

Stretty News verdict

In an ideal world — for United and Kane — Spurs would let him move to Old Trafford this summer.

There’s no way he wants to leave the Premier League when so much has been made about his record as a goalscorer. And, I’m sure he really wants that record since he’s already England’s all-time top scorer.

I think the best we can hope for is signing Kane on a Bosman next summer.
