Manchester United have confirmed that new signing Andre Onana will wear the No.24 shirt.
Onana joins after signing a five-year deal, following the agreement of a £47.72 million fee with Inter Milan.
The 27-year-old flew out to the United States on Thursday and that’s where he will join up with his new teammates for pre-season preparations.
However, Saturday’s game against Arsenal may come too soon for Onana, with Tom Heaton likely to start the upcoming friendly match.
Although the No.1 shirt was available following the departure of David de Gea, Onana decided to keep the No.24 shirt, which he wore at Ajax and Inter Milan.
The last player to wear No.24 at United was Dutch defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who left Old Trafford in 2021.
We are all looking forward to seeing Onana in action.
