The Cameroonian goalkeeper penned a heartfelt message this evening, as he flies over to the United States to meet his new teammates, expressing his gratitude and bidding farewell to Inter Milan.

Onana joined the club last summer from Ajax, where he worked with Erik ten Hag, and won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana during his season with the Serie A club.

He also reached the Champions League final and displayed a world-class performance in Istanbul, though unfortunately, his best efforts were not enough to stop the Manchester City victory.

Now, the 27-year-old is preparing for life in England. He’s signed a five-year deal that includes the option of a further season and will take the No.1 role from the moment he arrives.

He is in line to make his unofficial debut on Saturday when the Reds take on Arsenal in New Jersey – the opening fixture of their pre-season tour of the US.
