Manchester United are reportedly targeting Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka.
According to Mail Sport, the reigning Bundesliga champions have outlined a £34 million asking price for the German international, as they look to raise funds for their pursuit of Harry Kane.
Thomas Tuchel sees no place for Goretzka in his squad for the forthcoming season and would rather offload him to bolster different positions.
Whether or not the Red Devils will submit an offer remains to be seen, but numerous reports do suggest that the club is monitoring him.
Ten Hag looking to bolster midfield options
Erik ten Hag is keen to further strengthen his options in the middle of the pitch after acquiring Mason Mount for £55 million. A goalkeeper and a striker are the next priorities, but then the Dutch boss is set to turn his attention towards a box-to-box midfielder.
Goretzka, 28, has won five Bundesliga titles, two DFB Pokals and a Champions League among much more silverware throughout his time with Bayern. He was part of their treble-winning side in the 2019/2020 campaign but has since fallen down the pecking order.
