Manchester United ‘closing in’ on Rasmus Hojlund deal

There may be some movement in Manchester United’s pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund…

According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are “closing in” on a deal for the 20-year-old forward.

There was no mention of any fee, but Fabrizio Romano stated last night that Atalanta want around €70 million to sanction Hojlund’s exit.

The Serie A club are also uninterested in any player-plus-cash offers, which United had previously proposed – they want cash only.

Ten Hag keen to bolster squad adequately

Tonight’s update comes almost 24 hours on from the confirmation that United had reached an agreement for Andre Onana worth €50m in total. He will travel to England in the coming days to complete his medical while the club finalise all the required paperwork to make him Erik ten Hag’s second signing of the summer.

It was always expected that the manager would turn his attention to a striker after sealing a new No.1, so expect ongoing Hojlund updates or new links over the coming weeks.
