Manchester United appear to be edging closer to agreeing a deal to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

A report from Sport Italia this evening claims Inter Milan are due to hold a conference call with Manchester United to close a deal for Andre Onana.

It says the Italian club wish to complete the transfer by tomorrow and will accept the apparent £47 million bid offered by United over the weekend.

The report also states that Onana is ready to be United’s next No.1.

However, convincing Onana of moving to United was never seen as an obstacle. It’s always been about whether the clubs can come to an agreement over his valuation.

Erik ten Hag will hope that United can get a deal for Onana over the line before the US tour. He will want his new goalkeeper in through the door by then so that he can implement his style from the back.

Inter will want to ensure they have enough time to find a replacement, so I don’t think this deal will drag on for much longer. I just hope we get our man.
