Manchester United handed further blow in Harry Kane pursuit as forward favours Bayern

Harry Kane is reportedly open to joining Bayern Munich this summer, according to reporter Julien Laurens (via ESPN).

The reigning Bundesliga champions have already seen two bids swiftly rebutted by Tottenham Hotspur, who are as reluctant as ever to see their frontman depart North London.

French outlet L’Equipe released a report tonight suggesting Bayern will submit an improved €100 million offer to try and test Spurs’ resolve once and for all, though whether this will meet Daniel Levy’s valuation remains to be seen.

Spurs’ chairman is unwilling to sanction Kane’s exit in any circumstance so if the forward does indeed wish to make the move, he may have to force the board’s hand into agreeing a deal.

United’s links with Kane

Manchester United had been linked with the 29-year-old for some time but never formally sent a proposal Tottenham’s way, as they deemed Levy’s price tag far too high for Erik ten Hag’s budget.

Kane secured all-time top goalscorer status for both his club and national team last season, so now would certainly be a suitable time to take on a new venture and try and secure that all-elusive silverware he’s been craving.
