Manchester United close in on deal for Darren Fletcher’s sons as City eye ‘revenge’ transfer

Manchester United are closing in on a double-swoop for Darren Fletcher’s twin sons.

Jack and Tyler Fletcher currently play for Manchester City’s youth academy, but the Red Devils are hoping to have acquired the pair at Carrington by the end of July, according to Manchester Evening News.

Fletcher senior currently occupies a technical director role at Old Trafford after an illustrious career that saw him progress through the academy ranks to play a pivotal role in the first team under Sir Alex Ferguson.

City eye revenge move

The report adds that City are currently lining up their own ‘revenge’ move by signing United youngster Harrison Parker after the club turned down his requests for an increased salary.

Parker, 16, joined Carrington from the Arsenal academy in 2021 and was set to become a scholar in the 2023/2024 campaign. He only made three appearances for the U18s last term due to an injury that kept him sidelined for the majority of the season.
