PSG lead race to sign Manchester United-linked frontman

Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to oversee a deal for Randal Kolo Muani, as per the Independent.

The report adds that Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur have all shown interest in the frontman, but the reigning Ligue 1 champions look set to welcome him to the Parc des Princes.

Muani currently plays for Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt and his first season in Germany was nothing short of scintillating; 23 goals and 17 assists to his name in all competitions.

The 25-year-old also featured for France at last year’s World Cup and provided a crucial goal in the final, though they eventually went on to lose after a penalty shootout defeat to Argentina.

Muani too costly for United

It’s clear to see why Erik ten Hag had set his sights on the forward, as that’s one position that United undoubtedly need to bolster this summer, however, the price tag may have been deemed too high for the Red Devils.

Frankfurt reportedly wanted a fee of around £100 million to sanction Muani’s exit but PSG believe they can acquire the Frenchman for around £80m.
