Simone Inzaghi doesn’t want to lose Manchester United target this summer

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is still hoping that the Italian club can keep Andre Onana this summer, despite widely reported interest from Manchester United.

That is what today’s print edition of Tuttosport (via FCInterNews), who claim the Cameroon international could be on his way regardless of Inzaghi’s wishes should the Nerazzurri receive a huge financial offer.

Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla claims United launched an opening bid for the 27-year-old on Monday. He suggests the Reds have tabled a €40 million offer with a further €5m in performance-related add-ons.

Former United centre-back Rio Ferdinand has reacted to these reports, backing Erik ten Hag’s plan to sign Onana, but fears United will face a stumbling block with Inter Milan’s valuation.

It is believed that Inter are demanding €60m for Onana’s signature this summer.

Inzaghi understandably doesn’t want to lose one of the top keepers in the world, but we’d prefer to see Ten Hag take advantage of that and sign his former Ajax keeper.

David de Gea’s contract expired on Friday and it is believed Ten Hag would like to replace the Spaniard this summer. We should all be able to see why, despite his Golden Glove award last season.

  1. onana is clearly a ETH buy and not the scouting otherwise we could have signed him on a free last summer.

whilst i dont doubt onana is a good keeper, it should be quite alarming that uniteds transfers are basically being driven by one man – what exactly do the scouts do at united and as for murtagh – he is stealing a living.

Also I don’t think casemiro was a ETH signing and i’m certain we paid 85m for antony due to ETH – which is absurd – my point being can we really trust his judgement?

united have less to spend this year cos they overspent on antony last year – hes a 45m pound player and we made him one of the most expensive players of all time, based on ETH.

United should be cautious with ETH judgement that’s all i’m saying.
