Former Red Juan Mata reunited with his fellow Spaniard and close friend David de Gea this weekend.
The pair were spotted at De Gea’s pre-wedding ceremony in Spain as the goalkeeper prepares to tie the knot with his long-term partner, Edurne.
Mata departed Old Trafford last summer following the expiration of his contract and has since been enjoying his football in the Turkish Super Lig with reigning champions Galatasaray, though he has clearly remained in contact with his former teammate.
De Gea becomes a free agent
Following his wedding, De Gea will hold face-to-face talks with United regarding his future, as his deal expired at midnight on July 1.
His future at the club remains unclear and uncertain, and if a deal is not signed, he deserved a fitting send-off for all of his efforts over the past 12 years.

The 32-year-old is the last remaining player to have played under Sir Alex Ferguson and to have been a part of the 2013 title-winning squad, marking the end of an era if his chapter closes.
