(Video) Reuters reporter says Sheikh Jassim’s bid is viewed ‘more favourably’ by Glazers

Reuters reporter Anirban Sen shared his understanding of the Manchester United takeover situation.

Currently, supporters are awaiting further updates regarding the club’s potential new owners, with Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe seen as the two leading contenders, as both are bidding for a majority takeover.

The situation has gone on since last November and reporters suggest that along with fans, Erik ten Hag is growing increasingly frustrated over the lack of clarity given by the Glazer family.

The Americans dragging their heels leaves the manager in the dark regarding his transfer budget and the club’s plans for the season ahead.

An end may be in sight though, as Sen has suggested that Qatar-based billionaire Sheikh Jassim may now hold the advantage to buy the 20-time English champions.

Reuters reporter has his say

He told Stretford Paddock: “Sheikh Jassim’s bid is still viewed slightly more favourably by the Glazers at this point, that’s what our sources have told us.

“And I think the big question is whether they finally managed to get the deal over the finish line over the next few weeks or maybe months. So there’s a bit of uncertainty on when exactly the deal gets signed but we’ve been told that all parties are still in the mix.”
