Inter Milan are awaiting Manchester United’s next steps in pursuit of Andre Onana and have set their asking price.

The Red Devils have seemingly decided to replace David de Gea and acquire a new starting goalkeeper when the Spaniard’s contract expires in nine days.

Both parties were in negotiations for several months over a new and extended deal but his faltering form has led Erik ten Hag to scour the market for his replacement.

The Dutchman has now set his sights on another one of his former players; he managed Onana throughout his time at Ajax and has identified the 27-year-old as a suitable fit to be deployed between the sticks next season.

United considering Onana bid

Onana is contracted with the Serie A club until 2027 having joined in 2022. According to Gazzetta. It, United are mulling over a £40 million bid, though the Nerazzurri value the Cameroon international at around £50 million.

Inter are waiting to see if the Red Devils’ interest is concrete, as per Gianluca Di Marzio.
