Manchester United put midfielder up for sale with one Premier League club already interested

Manchester United are willing to oversee the departure of Fred this summer.

According to The Telegraph, United have listed the Brazilian on the transfer market and will demand a fee of around £20 million to sanction his exit.

Fulham are interested in acquiring the midfielder’s services at Craven Cottage next season and he is open to joining, however, they are unwilling to meet the Red Devils’ valuation.

Marco Silva was spotted in conversation with Fred following the final match of the Premier League campaign, which sparked speculation of a potential transfer.

The United board may be forced to lower the price tag they’ve attached to Fred and cut their losses from the £52 million price they paid Shakhtar Donetsk for him in 2018.

Back in December 2022, the club triggered a 12-month contract extension to prevent the 30-year-old from leaving for free. Erik ten Hag is keen to recuperate some funds to bolster his transfer budget for the months ahead.

As well as Fred, Scott McTominay could be on his way out of Old Trafford and Newcastle United could reignite their pursuit of the Scotsman, though United are in no rush to sell him.

The club will listen to offers for Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial, Anthony Elanga, Eric Bailly and Alex Telles.
