Manchester United will struggle to find a buyer for Anthony Martial this summer.

Coming off the back of another injury-hit campaign and earning £200,000-a-week with his current contract, it was always going to be touch-and-go as to whether United can find a new home for Anthony Martial.

Martial proved last season that Erik ten Hag cannot rely him on and it’s not too surprising that there seems to be a lack of interest in the player.

Furthermore, Martial has just 12 months left on his current deal, but United have the option to extend that by a year.

There is a strong suggestion now from The Telegraph that United would be doing well to offload him now rather than risk losing him on a free next summer.

The report claims United are exploring a number of options in terms of striker targets, with Ten Hag unlikely to sign his primary target Harry Kane.

There is also a chance United could sign two strikers before the start of next season, but before we get excited about that let’s try get one player through the door to strengthen the team.

The money given to Martial each week could be better spent elsewhere.
