Scott McTominay allowed to leave Manchester United this summer

Scott McTominay will be allowed to leave Manchester United.

The Scotland international is not considered a starter in the team and he could find himself slip further in the pecking order if Erik ten Hag signs a new midfielder this summer.

McTominay got a run in the team at the start of the 2022/23 season, but Casemiro eventually earned his spot in the team. The Brazilian would be joined in the middle by Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes.

According to the Daily Mail, United are willing to sell McTominay but they may need to lower their asking price.

It is believed that United would currently demand in excess of £30 million for McTominay.

One club continuously linked with a move for McTominay is Newcastle.

The same report suggests Eddie Howe has £75 million to spend ahead of next season, but it remains to be seen if they will make an official offer for McTominay.
