We know that selling players will be just as important as bringing new faces in this summer.
In turn, Erik ten Hag must decide which players have done enough in his first season at the club to warrant a place in the squad next season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ten Hag has always kept the same stance when it comes to Victor Lindelof, who the Dutchman deems untouchable.
The transfer specialist adds that Manchester United sent the same message to Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan in January, so Ten Hag won’t be changing his position on Lindelof anytime soon.
Erik ten Hag has never changed position on Victor Lindelöf — he’s untouchable. Same message sent to Atlético & Inter last January still valid now. 🔴⛔️ #MUFC

One defender likely to leave United in the summer is Harry Maguire. Despite links to Tottenham Hotspur, it has been suggested that the England centre-back is reluctant to leave Old Trafford and wants to fight for his place in the team.
There’s no way Ten Hag should keep both Lindelof and Maguire if he plans on adding a new centre-back to the squad this summer.
Maguire would be my choice to sell.
