Every man and his dog knows Manchester United are trying to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount this summer.
Manchester United have already reached an agreement with the England international over personal terms, but it’s now up to the two clubs to agree on a transfer fee.
Mount was attending the Spanish Grand Prix with Chelsea team-mate Ben Chilwell, in Barcelona on Sunday afternoon. That’s where he bumped into Sky Sports presenter Martin Brundle for a pre-race chat on the track.
Chilwell had a word with Brundle before pointing him in Mount’s direction, but the Chelsea midfielder was not expecting to be asked about a potential move to United.
“Let’s have a word with Mason,” before the midfielder replied: “What’s he saying? What’s he saying?”
Brundle then got straight to the point: “He says you’re going to Manchester United!”
Mount answered awkwardly after being put on the spot, saying: “I’m here to just enjoy this race today, amazing day, can’t wait to watch it.”
