Arsenal legend advises Harry Kane to join Manchester United

Arsenal legend Ian Wright thinks Harry Kane would be wise to ditch Tottenham this summer to sign for Manchester United.

Wrighty says if he was stood in the same shoes as Kane, after witnessing another strong season on the goalscoring front without a trophy to show for it, he would pack his bags and join Manchester United.

It’s a common belief that United would be able to challenge for the Premier League title next season, with the addition of Kane becoming our main goalscorer.

In what was a terrible season for Tottenham, the club’s all-time top scorer managed 30 Premier League goals. There will be a lot of happy Reds if Erik ten Hag can add that to his squad this term.

We know that Ten Hag is preparing to sign a new striker this summer. It’s also likely that Kane is his top target.

United have relied on Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst for most of the second-half of the season following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

But after more than 20 years at Tottenham, Wright has urged Kane to move to a bigger club in hunt of trophies.

“Manchester United got 17 points more this season than they did last season,” Wright said on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, as quoted by The Metro.

“With Harry Kane in that team, they are very close to something, very close to challenging. They will splash the cash to get the right player.

“If I was Harry Kane and I had to choose what to do this summer, I would probably choose Manchester United.

“They’re in the Champions League and he would make a difference there. With Kane and a couple of other signings, United are ready to go.”

With United, Kane will be back playing in the Champions League. He has watched us lift the Carabao Cup this season and everyone can see we are on the right path under Ten Hag, whereas Tottenham still don’t have a manager.
