Manchester United could leave Mason Greenwood final call to stakeholders

A decision on Mason Greenwood’s future could rest with Manchester United stakeholders.

Mason Greenwood remains suspended by Manchester United while the club carries out an internal investigation into allegations he faced regarding his private life following an arrest in January 2021.

The England striker was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm back in October 2022.

As a result, a lot of people don’t want Greenwood given a second chance at the club, but this cloud has hung over the club for too club. It’s time we got a definite decision.

The Crown Prosecution Service dropped all charges three months ago.

However, whilst the internal investigation continues, Greenwood cannot train or play for United.

The Mirror claims senior figures are still decision on what to do with the 21-year-old but nothing will be set in stone before Saturday’s FA Cup final.

Greenwood’s current deal at United doesn’t expire until 2025.

David McDonnell reports: “It is understood that once the internal investigation is completed, United will speak to stakeholders to gauge their opinion on the decision made. These include commercial partners, supporters and members of United’s WSL squad, to ensure the decision is met with the approval of all parties.”

  5. They are a lot of mistakes that ALL OF US have done. But we were given chances to prove out that we can still do better. I can Imagine how he feels not doing what he loves most. If football was just learnt but not something in him, it was really going to be easy for him to forget about it. But it is in him. Let us All feel for him and have a heart of a Mother. He is a person who is not perfect. Am not supporting what he did but I say we are imperfect at any time we can do a wrong thing.

We should understand something that even God gives second chance when u make a mistake or committed a sin and you ask for forgiveness. Let the united family all kindly forgives him. Why are we dragging the issue that long? Can’t the investigation committee submit their reports? Why do we have to wait for sponsor or the wsl? He’s a boy and he’s has apologized to the team and everyone for letting them down when they all needed him most. Let him come training please.
