David de Gea has kept Manchester United in the game with a sensational penalty save to deny Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Serbian is now the first-ever player to miss four spot-kicks in one season as he squandered the opportunity to put his side two goals ahead.
Kenny Tete netted the opening goal in the 19th minute thanks to a Willian in-swinging corner.
Marco Silva’s side were then on the hunt for a second goal with a quick counter-attack that led Casemiro to foul Tom Cairney, however, De Gea stepped up to mark to save his teammate’s blushes as he comfortably saved Mitrovic’s attempt.
The scoreline remains 1-0, so United have all the work to do if they want to seal a third-placed finish.
