Two Manchester United stars make BBC’s Team of the Week after Bournemouth victory

Victor Lindelof and Casemiro have been included in Garth Crooks’ BBC Sport Team of the Week.

Manchester United are now just one point away from securing their place in the Champions League next season and Thursday’s home clash with Chelsea provides the lucrative chance to wrap it up early ahead of the final matchday.

Last Saturday, the Red Devils overturned Bournemouth 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium with the only goal of the game coming from Casemiro, and what a crucial contribution it was to keep United cemented in fourth place.

Lindelof’s fine form

Lindelof has come into the team in Lisandro Martinez’s absence over the past weeks and has not put a foot wrong in the Reds’ backline. His efforts to keep another clean sheet on the South Coast meant David de Gea finished the game as this campaign’s Golden Glove winner.

With 17 clean sheets currently credited to United’s defensive unit, they can take the tally up to 19 with two more convincing performances against the Blues and Fulham.
