Nottingham Forest plan to offer £30m for Manchester United’s Dean Henderson

Nottingham Forest want to keep Dean Henderson and will look to agree terms with Manchester United over a permanent deal this summer.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Henderson was informed of Forest’s intentions to keep him after they secured their place in the Premier League with a 1-0 win against Arsenal on Saturday.

It is also suggested that Forest are prepared to do a deal for up to £30 million for Henderson, 26, even though it doesn’t sound like he has a future at Old Trafford.

The goalkeeper has been sidelined with injury since January 14 and has been ruled out until early August.

With David de Gea set to sign a new contract, I would find it hard to believe that Henderson wants to return to the United. He doesn’t want to play second fiddle and he’s guaranteed the No 1 role at Forest.

Henderson is under contract at Old Trafford until 2025. The club would be crazy to turn down £30m for his signature.
