Manchester United track £40m-rated Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus

Mohammed Kudus has been linked with a move to Manchester United all season. On top of that, the Ajax starlet is expected to leave Amsterdam this summer.

The Ghana international has been in superb form this season, registering 22 goals in 48 games across all competitions for club and country.

According to The Athletic, Kudus has a valuation of £40 million, with the Premier League being his preferred destination.

Other Premier League clubs monitoring Kudus include Arsenal and Newcastle.

Ornstein reports: “Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United are among those tracking Kudus, and while other candidates may be above him on their transfer lists at present, the 22-year-old is admired.”

However, Kudus’ current deal at Ajax doesn’t expire until 2025 and the report claims he rejected a new contract in April. That was enough to make his present club aware of his intention to leave at the end of the season.

With Kudus being a versatile forward, familiar with the style of play at Ajax, Erik ten Hag could look to sign another player from his former club after acquiring both Antony and Lisandro Martinez last summer.

It goes without saying that United need more spark in attack – but fans would like to see an elite-level forward signed before any up-and-coming talents like Kudus come through the door.

United have also been linked with strikers like Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen. One of those players along with Kudus would give us a much better strike force next term!
