Manchester United got the win they needed away to Bournemouth, but there’s still more work to qualify for the Champions League.

Casemiro’s overhead kick in the first half was enough to clinch the win for United, while David de Gea recorded his 17th Premier League clean sheet of the season to claim the Golden Glove award for himself.

Here are three talking points from an important win over Bournemouth:

Step closer to Champions League qualification

United’s win, along with Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at home to Aston Villa, means we need just one point from our remaining two league matches to secure a place in the Champions League next season. It’s important we get that complete the top four job on Thursday night against Chelsea.

Casemiro with a strike elite-level forwards would be proud of

Casemiro opened the scoring against Bournemouth again with a stunning strike thanks to an overhead kick. We knew when he signed that he’d help the team defensively, but little did we know he would pop up in the box with such important goals. The Brazilian has six goals to his name this season.

Antony needs to offer more

The Brazilian winger struggled to get involved in the game – and whenever he did, the ball was passed backwards. If he can work on his right foot and become more direct, Antony will become a top player.
