De Gea 8, Casemiro 8: player ratings from Bournemouth 0-1 Manchester United

Manchester United are on the verge of securing their place in next season’s Champions League after Erik ten Hag’s men claimed all three points at Brentford.

United were just one point ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool going into the game but after Jurgen Klopp’s side failed to beat Aston Villa at home, that lead has been extended to three points, with United also having a game in hand.

United now need just one point from their final two games of the season against Chelsea and Fulham, with the Reds welcoming both sides to Old Trafford next week.

At the Vitality Stadium, United recorded yet another 1-0 win this season but that will do for Ten Hag, who will be prioritising a strong finish to the league over anything else.

David de Gea – 8
Now a two-time Golden Glove winner after it was confirmed that he is the sole winner of the prize with yet another clean sheet. And he was made to work for it this evening, stopping Bournemouth from equalising on two occasions.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 7
Now looks to be the undisputed first-choice right-back, which is quite the turnaround from hardly getting a look-in before the World Cup break.

Raphael Varane – 7
Huge relief to have him back in the side.

Victor Lindelof – 8
Keeps his great form going, has put himself in good stead to keep his place for the remainder of the season.

Luke Shaw – 7
Became a late doubt after the warm-up but was cleared to play and put in a good performance.

Casemiro – 8
The catalyst for change in United’s season and it’s fitting that he scored the goal which almost ensures that United hit their prime target of the season.

Christian Eriksen – 7
Kept it all ticking over but possibly a bit too shy in the final third.

Antony – 6
Teams are doubling up on him and you can understand why.

Bruno Fernandes – 7
Caps off a stunning last couple of weeks with a fine performance.

Jadon Sancho – 6
Continues to have a tough season.

Anthony Martial – 6
Getting back up to speed.

  1. Brno 7?
    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Maybe is not the match I watch.
    Having same rating With Christian.

Aa for Victor, He will be a tough competitor for Rapha next season (in My own opinion) but EtH always think backwards, so I can say

  2. Did this guy really see the match. Bruno was terrible, easily the worst player of both sides.

Give rating based on the match, not your personal preference. These type of bad features not only spoil the integrity of the website, also the fans & ultimately the club we all love.
