Manchester United’s Dean Henderson will need to undergo surgery for his season-ending thigh injury.
The goalkeeper has spent the campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest but saw his season end abruptly when he sustained a thigh injury at the start of the year.
His last game in action came on January 14 when the Trees oversaw a crucial 2-0 win over Midlands rivals Leicester City.
Henderson’s availability issues forced the club into signing experienced veteran Keylor Navas in the winter transfer window but despite his illustrious career and trophy cabinet, he hasn’t been able to keep the goals out since he arrived at the City Ground.
United set Henderson recovery timeframe
United will now prepare for the ‘keeper to return to Manchester and according to Charlotte Duncker, the Red Devils believe they will have him fit in time for pre-season.
Dean Henderson will have an operation as he continues to struggle with his thigh tear. Rules him out for the rest of the season. But #mufc confident to have him fit for pre-season. Not yet decided where he will do his rehab. Henderson keen to stay with the group at #nffc.
