Ralf Rangnick names two Manchester United players in top form

Former Manchester United caretaker manager Ralf Rangnick had a horrid time at the club.

In a recent interview with Sport1, the Austria manager has highlighted the form of two key United players who struggled under him.

Rangnick also praised the incredible work of new manager Erik ten Hag, who has already delivered a trophy as well as an FA Cup final in his first season.

In doing so, Rangnick highlighted the performances of Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw, who have improved drastically since he left the club at the end of last season.

“Other players who, for various reasons, were not able to perform at their best back then are now in top form again when they are fit,” Rangnick said.

“I think of Marcus Rashford. Luke Shaw is fit again at the moment and doesn’t have any major injury problems anymore.”

We know that Rashford had injury problems and that is why he missed a chunk of this season right at the beginning, but at least he has shown some of his best form this season and we can look forward to more of that in the future.

Rangnick spoke about how impressed he is by United’s season to date. As well as two Wembley finals, the Reds are well on course to finish in the top four. Something Rangnick was unable to achieve during his spell as interim manager.

“They are now a team again, so of course there were certain problems for certain reasons.

“You now have the opportunity to develop as a team again that they end up in the top four this year.

“I think you can say that now. And now in the FA Cup final against City they even have a chance to win a second title.”
