Bizarre claims coming from Germany suggest that Bayern Munich could make a move for Casemiro this summer, 12 months on from his shock transfer from Real Madrid to Manchester United.
United fans will be quick to dismiss these reports early on. Casemiro has enjoyed a key role at Old Trafford, something he never had at Real Madrid, and it’s clear to see that Erik ten Hag is laying crucial foundations for a successful future.
This surprised claim is from Kicker, relayed by Sport Witness, who state Thomas Tuchel ‘wants’ the Manchester United midfielder at Bayern Munich.
Thomas Tuchel was recently made manager after replacing Julian Nagelmann in Bavaria. It has been suggested that a defensive midfielder is high on the agenda, which could raise question marks about United target Ryan Gravenberch, who has not got the game time he wanted at Bayern since his move from Ajax.

Kicker don’t say whether we should expect a bid for Casemiro, but Tuchel is definitely said to have placed the Brazilian on his radar.
