Bruno Fernandes could lose outstanding injury-free career record

Every team needs their best players available to be successful. Thankfully for Manchester United, that has been the case with Bruno Fernandes since he arrived in England in 2020 from Sporting Lisbon.

You could say the Portuguese Magnificio is famously never injured, but he remains a ‘question mark’ for Thursday night’s Premier League clash with Tottenham after sustaining a knock in United’s FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton.

Fernandes left the pitch after 101 minutes of action with discomfort to his right foot. Fernandes later pictured wearing a protective boot whilst relaxing at home.

If the Portugal international is unable to make the bench for the game against Tottenham, Transfermarkt claims it would end an incredible run that has never yet seen him miss a game through injury in his career to date.

Only illness has kept Fernandes out of action over the past 11-years, which is an incredible stat, and one he should be very proud of.

Fernandes is one of those players that you can tell will forever be in the manager’s head about game time, if it was to be cut short at any time.

Hopefully Fernandes can return by the time Aston Villa come to Old Trafford at the latest!
