Reds embarrassed in Spain: player ratings from Sevilla 3-0 Man United

Manchester United have crashed out of the Europa League with their tails between their legs as Erik ten Hag’s men threw away a  two-goal lead in the first leg at Old Trafford.

The final 10 minutes of that game were, to say the least, catastrophic for United and that theme continued in the second leg in Seville.

The home side were dominant from the first whistle and United, who were only recognisable if you imagined you were watching the team under Ralf Rangnick, could not get near them.

Man United Player Ratings

David de Gea – 1
Appalling decision to pass the ball to Harry Maguire when there are three Sevilla players near him. That is not the first time his poor decision-making has cost United.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 1
Just did not look interested and that is completely unforgivable. Rightfully hooked at half-time.

Harry Maguire – 1
As much as De Gea had a hand in the opening goal, Maguire is equally at fault. He continues to be slow in possession and unaware of his surroundings. Liability.

Victor Lindelof – 2
The other half of the partnership that was resurrected as a result of injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane. Poor.

Diogo Dalot – 2
Like the rest of the team, just poor.

Casemiro – 1
Ironically, he was the United player that looked most dangerous in the final third. Game flew past him in every other aspect.

Christian Eriksen – 1
Good return against Nottingham Forest, completely overrun tonight. Woeful passing.

Antony – 3
United’s best player on the night.

Marcel Sabitzer – 2
Put a shift in. That should be the bare minimum but he was one of the very few to do just that.

Jadon Sancho – 1
His struggles continue.

Anthony Martial – 1
Poor decision-making. The endless cycles of injuries continue.
